My First Day at College

I still remember how nervous I felt when I woke up on my first day of college. It didn’t feel like a normal day at all. I kept thinking about how everything was going to be new—new people, new place, and a completely new phase of my life. When I entered the college campus, I felt both excited and confused at the same time. I didn’t know where to go or who to talk to. Everyone around me looked busy, confident, or just as nervous as I was. For a moment, I felt like I didn’t belong there yet—but that feeling slowly faded as the day went on. The orientation session helped a lot. The teachers and seniors spoke kindly and tried to make us feel comfortable. They explained how college life works, what is expected from us, and how important it is to enjoy this journey along with studying. Listening to them made me feel a little more relaxed and hopeful. Attending my first class was another new experience. It felt very different from school. There was more freedom, but also more responsibility. ...
